Spring Break is A Memory

and a good one! We managed to agree on a house, and here it is:

Needless to say, we won't be moving in for a while.
I spent the week in Tifton, GA - seeing the sights, getting to know the lay of the land, attending a dinner at ABAC, and I even squeezed in a day of work in their foundation office. And that doesn't include the trips to Jacksonville to see my sister and her family. I enabled my niece, and now she is a beading freak. I seem to be the spokeswoman for beading these days.
I am making headway on the Thermal, and will post a pic soon. I ended up frogging the Clementine Shawl from Interweave Knits. It looked pretty good, but after actually reading the directions, I realized I was really doing my own thing. Way off base!
I managed to gain some weight over the week, too. It must have been the 4 beers with dinner the other night. I fell off the gluten-free bandwagon that night, and paid for it. I was as sick as a dog for the next two days. The five-hour drive home the next day wasn't pleasant. If it hadn't been for listening to Twelve Sharp by Janet Evanovich, I would never have made it. I'm back on the gluten-free diet, and I managed to walk over lunch today. 50 minutes worth!! I was covered in pollen and sweat when I got back - not a pretty picture.
I immediately went to see the grandsons when I got back from Georgia. Toby has poison oak from head to foot, and Daniel has a raw chin from excessive drooling.

What a bunch!

My name's Emily, and I'm a beadaholic.

Oh my god those babies are so cute! So are the bigger ones, but they're not as funny when they roll around half-naked on the floor.

Catching Up

First things first - you might have noticed I've changed the name of the blog. Knitting NonPareil was appropriate at one time, but I don...
