Back in the Saddle

Again. There have been lots of happenings, but I just haven't felt like blogging. Lazy, I know. I have been busy, usually just spinning my wheels, but sometimes turning out a finished project. Remember the scarf I was working on? After messing up and ripping out 3 times (yes, 3) I am finally nearing completion. Notice I didn't say I was done. Here it is on Mother's Day, with Jesse kindly modeling.

I also finished a cute summer top. Too bad it doesn't fit me. I made Jesse try it on so I could get a picture. Naturally I had to use a hair clip to pin the back, because it's way too big for her. But it's cute, even if I'll never wear it! I even altered the shoulder width, since I'm shoulder challenged, but I didn't pay any attention to the width of the bottom. Apparently I'm not at all challenged there. sigh.

I've been busy packing and sorting, having a yard sale, and even attending a knitting get-together last Monday night. It was so much fun! I've never gotten together with more than one person at a time to knit, so this was an entirely new experience for me. I ended up buying a new punch needle for my latest craft obsession, and a new pattern. This one:

Punch needle is so easy, and fun! It's a good way to use up all that DMC floss you have left over, since you no longer do cross stitch!
And, as usual, a few kid pics, from Mother's Day.

Oh, and dessert.

I'm so sad for you that your top doesn't fit because it's beautiful! What pattern did you use for it?

Those little ones are sure growing up quickly!

Catching Up

First things first - you might have noticed I've changed the name of the blog. Knitting NonPareil was appropriate at one time, but I don...
