Surprise!

It's Mango Salsa, being knit into a surprise project. I say surprise, because it'll be a surprise to me if it turns out the way I'd like. I should have it finished soon (jinx - famous last words).
In ghostly news, the coffee maker never turned itself on again, and the week progressed nicely, even without coffee. We ate at a fabulous little restaurant one night, the Georgia Sea Grill. I refrained from taking pictures of my food that night, much to John's relief. I didn't have any of the wine, but it looked good! I did have the Sea Grill soup, a seafood bisque, which is spicier and even better than she-crab soup. My entree was Snapper Paupiettes, stuffed with crab. Yes, ma'am, that was some good eating. My side dish was creamed spinach, which had mushrooms in it, too. Very good! For dessert John and I shared creme brulee and the toasted coconut silk pie. At least I think that's what the pie was. I do know it was chocolate and coconut, and almost as good as the creme brulee. I don't know if I can make a recommendation on only one visit, but if I may I give it 5 stars out of 5.
The next day we tried Barbara Jean's, because everyone kept recommending the crab cakes and the breads. This time I didn't hesitate to take pictures. This is the bread we were served: We both liked the pumpkin bread, and I also liked the homemade wheat rolls. I totally did not like the sweet jalapeno corn bread, but John thought it was the best. Oh well. We both got the she-crab soup, and it was spicy like the bisque we had the night before. I love she-crab soup, but it's usually very mild. I like 'em both! Then we each ordered the crab cake. You guessed it - fantastic. I don't think you can go wrong at this restaurant, either. So there's my mini-vacation on St. Simons Island, GA. Your turn!
(I promise you, I really did more than just eat all week!)
