Whispering Pines Shawl

I'm such a busy little knitter! I bought the Whispering Pines Shawl pattern from Anne Hanson last month, and the knitting gods smiled upon me enough to get started. I'm using KnitPicks lace weight bare, because I just couldn't decide what color to dye the fiber. The shawl will let me know what color it wants to be when it's done.

I'm on section C, and so far it's been easy. I had to start it 3 times before I got it right, but after that it's been smooth sailing. Until last night. I should know better than to try to knit when I'm tired. And while John insists on talking to me. Always with the talking and asking questions when I'm trying to count. So there I was, befuddled on section C, and I couldn't count to save myself. I finally had to break out my stitch markers from Sabra (thanks girl!) because I needed a lot of them! I refused to go to sleep until I had *unravelled* the mystery, so to speak. All is well now, and I hope to make some more progress on it tonight. AFTER I go to the gym. cough cough. I joined the local YMCA today, and tonight they have Pilates and Zumba. Someone just told me Pilates was really hard, so maybe I'll Zumba. And don't ask, I don't know.

It's looking good! There's so many color possibilities I can envision for this shawl that I can understand why you are having trouble deciding. Hopefully you'll continue to have fun and not any more mishaps.

Zumba? I don't know where I've been, but I've never heard of that.

The shawl is amazing...I am thinking some gorgeous green - not that you asked me :)

I absolutely LOVE my Moby Wrap. I'd highly recommend it, although it does take some figuring out the first time you put it on. Where is she now? Is there a babywearing group in her area?

First things first - you might have noticed I've changed the name of the blog. Knitting NonPareil was appropriate at one time, but I don...
