Clapotis Revisited

I'm such a yarn/pattern whore. First one, then the other. I've got a pair of socks languishing on the needles, and Whispering Pines longing for me to pick her up again, but no, I couldn't do that. I needed something new and exciting. Something that said "summer." What says summer better than fiber called Caribbean? I'm not big on variegated yarn, but I do make exceptions. Usually it's in the form of my own hand-dyed. This time I fell for KnitPicks sale yarn, Gossamer, in the aforementioned color. I couldn't decide what to do with it, because I hate when the variegation fights with the lace pattern, so I ended up starting another Clapotis. The first one I made is muted (read: bland) so this this a real change. I've reached my first dropped stitch and am headed to the second. The challenge will be to not fall off the monogamy wagon and start something new!
