Betsy's Luxury Doggy Spa

I'm still sick, but this was so funny that I had to post it. This is an exact email from my sister.
Yes, I have officially lost my mind. I'm sitting at my desk trimming shirts and I see a cute little basset hound in Bill's yard. It's just sitting there barking. So, of course, I go outside and call it to me.

The dog runs over to me and lays on her back, showing me that she has recently had a litter of puppies and she's skinny. Also, her nails are so long that they're overlapping.

So what do you think I did? Well, I brought her into the house and gave her food and water. Then. I clipped all her nails so she could walk better. Than, since I am running a luxury doggy spa, I gave her a bath and toweled her dry and she and Winnie ran out back and went to the bathroom. After resting, she wanted out of the fence so I opened it and off she went. I hope she finds a home. At least she's got a full belly, shorter nails, and a clean coat.
And I smell like a dirty dog!

These are my own words and they make me sound like I'm crazy!! The picture is just hilarious! Let's face it, I'll feed and care for just about any living thing that comes to my doorstep. I must be some kind of freak!

I'm blown away by Betsy's kindness. But, you know, since she fed the doggie, it will probably be back. She might as well name it.

I think I'm going to have to find out where Besty lives so I can have a day at the spa. I think I need it.

Aww, how sweet. Love that picture too! We don't know if it's a boy or girl yet, but I'm leaning towards boy. I was wrong last time though. Interesting to hear about your birth experience! The constant monitoring, in my opinion, has done 10 times more harm than good. A doppler works just fine. If I choose to have a waterbirth, they'll even be able to put it in the water to check on the baby!

Catching Up

First things first - you might have noticed I've changed the name of the blog. Knitting NonPareil was appropriate at one time, but I don...
