What a beautiful day here in the upstate! It has to be near 80 degrees, lovely! It was rainy and dreary yesterday, perfect for baking. My usual baking help was on hand to participate, and we came up with another fantastic poundcake:I also whipped up (from scratch, mind you) a banana cake for my Mom's 65th birthday on Saturday: I believe I'm sugared out.
On the knitting front, I'm almost done with the Wool Peddler's shawl, but I don't want to post any pictures of the progress, since it's a birthday gift. I'll get a shot of my sister wearing it in a few weeks. But - here is my version of Clapotis, which I finished in May of last year, so I could wear it to my daughter's university graduation. I used the space-dyed blue-faced leicester in "Herb Garden" from Paradise Fibers. It's very muted compared to almost all of the other ones around, but that's me. Muted. Wallflower. Quiet. ha!

I have some of the yarn on hand that you used for your Clapotis. How many yards did it take? --Sylvia
