Thank You!

for all the congrats and well wishes on the babies. It's been a roller coaster week, and as of right now, we still don't have any babies at home. They're hoping to bring Daniel home tomorrow, and Luke sometime during the week. They're still both healthy, but under 5 lbs. And still cold!
I have been quite the whirlwind of activity lately. It's probably some manic state, but I'm rolling with it. 4-yr.-old Bowen took a picture of me yesterday, and promptly dubbed it, "Sexy Tiger." Um, where does a 4-yr.-old come up with such sayings? Don't tell me, I don't want to know. Granted, he has quite an advanced vocabulary (after all, he uses the word minion correctly) but sometimes he just floors me. Here's the sexy grandma tiger picture for all of you who think I don't look old enough to be a grandma. It's all done with mirrors.

My family members who received pics earlier this week will attest to the fact that a little makeup doesn't hurt.
I started and finished the Amy Butler Nappy Bag, but I'm too lazy to go downstairs to photograph it. It's late, I'm tired, and the brownies just came out of the oven.

Don't they look great? They are, trust me on this one. The recipe is Ina Garten's Outrageous Brownies, which I've made and photographed before on this blog.
And lookee here, some knitting!

This is one of the new Knitty surprise patterns, a toe-up sock. It's easier than I thought - I started it at 2:30am yesterday, and didn't make any mistakes with all the wrap and turn stuff. Here's the whining - why do socks take so loonngg to knit, whine, whine, whine. The yarn is something I picked up last summer at KNIT in Charleston, and couldn't decide what to do with it. I love the colors! I like the idea of a toe up pattern - I can just divide the skein in half (by weight), and knit up until I run out of yarn.
Lastly, a picture of my daughter, grandson and friend Edward, coloring at the dining room table. Edward honey, no coloring on your arms!

Belated congratulations on the new arrivals -- hope they're both able to come home soon & you can snuggle 'em & get them warmed up! And yay! You started toe-up socks! But, um, 2:30 a.m.?

Hey, Sexy Tiger, Bowen is cracking me up! :) I think it's so funny that he uses "minion" at age 4. Great pictures!
