last night. It's good!
I also finished a particularly disturbing one last night.
I'm surprised I didn't have nightmares. I didn't like it much. I kept skipping sentences to be done with it. It was scary, but not scary enough. Mostly just disturbing. Oh well, lesson learned.
AND, while we're on books, I got these this week:
I do love to buy books at a much reduced price! I have spent some time sewing, and I will be taking pictures tomorrow.
At the moment, I'm sitting here at work, waiting for our performers to arrive. We had a morning show for school children, and tonight's show is for everyone. The group tonight is the Claremont Trio, three very talented and beautiful young women. My boss and I took them to lunch this afternoon over at Seasons on the Lake, near campus.
It was a beautiful day, perfect for eating outside, until a rogue gust of wind blew the umbrella off a neighboring table. I watched the wind catch it, pull it straight up and out of the table, and then watched it drop. Kinda freaky. The wind picked up even more after that, and now, 6 hours later, it's dark and stormy. Oooh, I love it! Time to run down to the theatre to see if anyone is here yet!

Yeah that storm went through my neck of the woods too with strong winds and hail. Didn't last very long though. Keep us posted on what you think of your book purchases.
What great books! I just bought In Stitches and I'm looking forward to making several of the projects.
Trafficking in sheep?
A Scottish love story?
As I have always said, The Scottish Gaelic word for "Easy Date" is "Livestock."
i am so ready for some stormy fall weather, just so that i can snuggle up in our couch with my knitting and enjoy it! (not that i don't enjoy my knitting, but sometimes you just need a bit of a change)
The books look interesting. Can't wait to see what you make.
We had storms on Friday. A tornado came through right when the kindergarten bus was loading the kids. So they all had to go back inside. The kids said it was a very scary day. I remember a lot of those days living in MO.
