Holiday Giveaway!!!

It's here, It's here!!! Sew, Mama, Sew has a list of blogs who are participating in the Holidays Giveaway, and I'm one of them.

I'm giving away a handknit scarf from my own handpainted fiber. I used the chevron scarf pattern from Joelle Hoverson's Last Minute Knitted Gifts. The scarf (and it is gorgeous!!) measures approx. 70" unblocked. It's soft, scrumptious, and just waiting for you to win it!

I put the same yarn in my etsy shop, in case you don't win and want to make one yourself! Go take a look!

All you need to do is leave a comment. I don't care what it's about. You could rave over my amazing talent, or my beauty, or you could just be truthful and tell me I'm an old bat who can't take a decent picture of her yarn.
I will pick the winner using a random number generator, and will mail anywhere. Except to Mars. No Mars entries, please.
Happy Holidays from me, the Knitting NonPareil!

added later - okay, go check this give-away out. Talk about cool, and unusual. And I want it. John would die. Then he'd love it anyway. http://www.mumovearls.blogspot.com/

edited to add: One last thing. Sew, Mama, Sew has asked us to extend the date of our giveaway, so I'll be picking the winner on Friday night. Someone call to remind me, please.

How about Jupiter? You didn't mention Jupiter. We don't get along with Martians. They are overly pretentious and smell bad. Oh yeah, I want your scarf. I'll be willing to move to Arizona just to get it. Yeah, like I'd need a scarf in Arizona, right? But it's cooooold outside! It's in the 60's for crying out loud! Oh, and you're so pretty and talented and you make one hell of a bowl of chicken soup. Yum!

I feel obligated to come up with something interesting to comment about after reading your hilarious giveaway day post, but nothing is coming to me.

I'll go with the obvious- it's a lovely looking scarf and I'd love to win it! :)

Thanks for participating in giveaway day and I'll surely be visiting again!

Anonymous said...

Ok, I'll be honest here. The only thing I know how to knit are scarves, and I really don't NEED another scarf. But I am COVETING your scarf. It is probably the only thing that would match my hair. And it would put all my other stockinette stitch scarves to shame. It would be the Grand Scarf in my collection. It would have a place of honor.

Not to put any pressure on you or anything.

Joanna said...

Oh that is gorgeous! I haven't had a hand knitted scarf for years. And I don't think your photography skills are that bad ;)

you are too funny... I could say I'm from Mars... well I feel like I live on Mars sometimes... but it's just PA... HAHAHAHA...

This is beautiful. I can't knit :( I would love too but just haven't learned yet. But one year I found a beautiful scarf that had been knitted so I decided to wrap it for my then 3 year old for Christmas from "Mrs. Claus". Now guess what I have to find every year...you guessed it a hand knitted scarf from Mrs. Claus. LOL. I started a tradition with that hand knitted scarf that year and she makes sure she asks for it in her letter to Santa and Mrs. Claus each year.

That scarf is just scrumptous. It's either ribbon candy (in keeping with the holiday theme) or it's like an hawaiian sunset. Personally, I prefer the warm sunset since it was colder than heck this morning here in NC. I loved your m&m's comment on doviesaprons.blogspot.com. I'm right there with you. And that would be dark chocolate m&m's.
