I reading about how other bloggers love the crisp smell of winter when they walk outside. When I walk outside it smells like the pool in the summer. We have a fountain near the library, and the smell of the chemicals in the water wafts over on the winter (!) breeze and makes me think it's June. Crazy.
Okay, so I was the lucky winner of Cheryl's enchanted coffee cup contest. Who knew it could be so easy? I love reading her blog - she has such a good eye and keen sense of color. Yes, I want to be her. Get over it. And her hair. sigh. It's really not fair. But I digress. I won a skein of Irish Kilcarra aran weight yarn, in forest. OMG, it's beautiful, and I can pretend I'm in the forest primeval, prancing about with my needles in hand. Okay, so that's just kinda weird, sorry. I did imagine myself with clothes on, if that helps.
See the bits of red, blue and yellow? The blue is the sky showing through the trees, the yellow is, um, my long flaxen hair, and the red is the blood from the stag I just pierced through the heart. Oh my, I hope I don't drop his leg in the McD's parking lot!!!

It is lovely yarn! Did I tell you that you crack me up? Stag, indeed.
Glad you like the yarn! No, you don't want to be like me, even with the hair...
that yarn is beautiful. I hope you had a wonderful holiday!
