Yes, today is a bad hair day. I went as far as to call into work this morning to say I wasn't coming in. All because of my bad hair. It was fine yesterday, no complaints. I should have taken that as a sign, and just told them yesterday that I wouldn't be in. So, I got up early to color my hair. My niece is graduating this weekend, and my grey/reddish/brown 'do just wasn't cutting it. The color looked great, but then I ran out of my Nexxus curly spray. I used it every day, but I never really thought it did anything. Oh yeah, it did something, and unfortunately without it, my hair did something else. The hair looked that bad. sigh. I ended up taking another shower to wash all the product out of the bad hair (I was spraying and gooping on everything I could get my hands on!) and started from scratch. A few little snips (did it really grow overnight?), some drying, some curling, some fluffing. And now it looks, well, passable. So I came into work. But you can be sure I'll be stopping on the way home to pick up some curly spray.
Luckily my weekend went a lot better than today did. The spinning guild in this area graciously allowed me to join them for some natural dyeing, and some great food, too. I'm not one to let bare yarn or fiber just sit around, so all the fiber I had on hand was already dyed. I wish I had taken some of my marigold-dyed stuff, just to overdye it. The ladies cooked up cochineal and goldenrod, and also had an indigo cold process bath going. I LOVE how the idigo changes to blue as it oxidizes.

More on the indigo and goldenrod tomorrow!

It's so pretty! What are you going to make with it?
But I really wanted to see a picture of your hair. ;)
Michelle,
The yarn all belongs to others. wah, wah. Next time I'll be prepared. As far as the hair goes, I don't think anyone is ready to see it yet. Not even me.
HA! If you're having a bad hair day, then I'm Cleopatra!
Little one and I picked all the dandelions in our back yard one day, and dyed a white cotten t-shirt (very badly, of course) with the blooms. A nice natural understated yellow - do your friends need some dandelion blooms? I'm sure my neighbors would love to see the lovelies out of my yard!!

:-) Before the picture loaded on this post, I thought it was going to be a photo of you dyeing your hair. You just went straight from hair dyeing to yarn dyeing! I am having a bad hair day most days, because I don't style my hair or put anything in it. A bad hair day for someone else is a normal hair day for me.
