I finished a quilt this morning, just in time for the grandpa to pick it up. They brought in their daughter's 20-something year-old quilt a while back, and wanted me to use part of it to make a new quilt for her baby, due anytime now. Well, the old quilt was in fairly decent condition, and I hated to tear it up, so I made the back of the new quilt to look like the old one. I took the picture with my iPhone, so pardon the quality.

I love the Patrick Lose Special Delivery Quilt book - check it out. I made the cover quilt about 9 years ago, but back then I just couldn't be bothered to take pictures.

You did a great job on the new quilt! Okay, was the entire back of the quilt the original one or did you re-work it? I bought a new quilt pattern in Kissimmee that you will probably like. We really should get together soon and fabric shop!
The quilt back is entirely new, but it's almost the same look as the old quilt. I had to buy vintage (as in 1990,probably) rosebud fabric off etsy for part of it. I couldn't find it anywhere! I don't NEED any more new fabric, but hey, let's go!
Gosh, that is SO adorable!! You did such an awesome job on it!
Perfect girly quilt. You did a wonderful job and I'm sure you'll find a use for the extra fabric.
