I found a bit of enthusiasm and decided to finish the bag. Here it is, filled with markety goodness - straight from my fridge. And a close up: I used Lion Brand Kitchen cotton, less than one ball! I added a pattern repeat, because I was worried that mine wouldn't stretch as much as the ones with the cotton/mohair? blend. Thus, I also made the strap longer. Well, as you can see it's plenty deep, and the handle is um, very long. I tied it up, and it's perfect now! This was one of those instant gratification projects. I love this bag, it was easy, cost less than $4.00, and it looks good. Like me. In case you haven't already, go here for the pattern.
And now, for your viewing pleasure, we have Super Bowen, complete with his bubble blaster. (They're not allowed to have guns, but since Aunt Betsy and Uncle Kevin bought these, it was okay).Of course, if you are Super Bowen, and your side kick is Wedder (Weather) Woman, who is also your grandma, you must have accessories. Which brings us to The Key to the World. Found, amazingly enough, in the parking lot of the doctor's office. Go figure.

LOVE the Market Bag! I want one in Red ;o) Remember my birthday is July 30 - Ain't I a stinker! But really - It's cool and easier to carry than a basket. We have our Farmers Market on Weds. & Saturdays. Now I feel like shopping!
Love the bag. My son just moved to Philly - in the city with no car. Maybe I should make one for him -being that he'll be walking the grocery store.
Bowen is just so damn cute! I love the bag btw, looks great!
So, Wedder Woman, have you & Super Bowen been watching the Magic Schoolbus, by any chance? There's at least one episode where one of the kids decides they're "Weatherman" or some such. And what magical discoveries did the Key to the World bring you?
Love the bag...how can I get directions? I want to make it for my daughter-in-law and granddaughters
Thanks, Marge
